Strandhill National School were well represented in Galway last weekend at the Connacht Minor Schools swimming championships. Saibh Prunty and Amy Kenny had fantastic individual performances achieving personal best times. The senior girls relay team of Saibh, Amy, Lana Maye and Lara displayed excellent teamwork beating some very strong Mayo and Galway teams to secure a place in the All Ireland Minor Schools competition in Dublin next March.
We also congratulate Fionn, Moss and Leo who took part in the Connacht Cross Country championship on Sunday 22nd. All three boys ran superbly and qualified for the All Ireland Cross Country finals in Kilkenny in November. Great running.
