Congratulations and well done to our athletes who represented Scoil Asicus Naofa so well at the Primary Schools Athletics Fest 2023 in ATU Sligo on 28th Sept.
Expertly coached by Mrs Joyce who gave the children daily athletics training for the past number of weeks, our girls and boys performed excellently. They showed heart, teamwork and no small amount of talent as they gave it 100% on the track and field.
Mrs Joyce and Ms McLoughlin were very proud of their behaviour and attitude which was a credit to the children. On the day our Senior Mixed Team reached their final, our Junior Girls Team placed 3rd in the final, our Junior Boys Team came 1st in the final, J. Sweeney came 3rd in the final of the 200m and G. Carty came 1st in the final of his 200m race. The 40 children who took part should be very proud of their effort and athleticism - maith sibh.
