We enjoyed a wonderful trip to Dolly's Cottage last Friday. Deirdre Foley brought us on a tour of the two roomed cottage. We saw Dolly's beautiful dresser with all her lovely china. We learned how she 'teemed'/drained her potatoes in the big woom creels/baskets that she stored in the loft. Dolly had to cook and bake in big iron pots over the turf fire.She had to wash her clothes in the river. Did you know that Dolly's cottage was a rambling house? Thank you Deirdre for a great visit!
