Our athletes' great season continued on Sat 12th Oct at the Connacht Schools Cross Country Championship in Leitrim. Scoil Asicus had teams in all 4 categories thanks to powerful performances at the Sligo competition and the children ran just as well against the best of the province.
Our Senior girls just missed out on a medal in 4th place.
The Junior girls team came 2nd with Fiadh and Indie finishing 5th and 7th repectively!
In the boys, the Junior Team placed 3rd with Leo coming in 3rd overall.
Completing a great day, the Senior boys team came 3rd also. Moss delivered another fine race, finishing in 5th place.
The consistency and high calibre of these results is down to the children's talent, their dedication in training and the support and encouragement of their exceptional coach Mrs Joyce who was with them in Leitrim on Saturday. Our school is proud of you all!
