Scoil Asicus Naofa is set in an idyllic location on the fringe of Strandhill village. To the rear is the magestic Knocknarea mountain and to the front we see the local golf links course and Sligo Bay. It is in close proximity to a number of places of archaelogical, historical and environmental interest.Pupils are given the opportunity to visit, study and produce projects on these places.
The school premises consists of a school building and a spacious playing area. Due to an increase in enrolments in recent years, three extensions have been completed in the past ten years. The entire building consists of ten mainstream classrooms, and a large general purpose hall, kitchen, staff room, secretary's office and Principal's office, five Learning Support / Resource rooms and a large lobby.
The playground covers an area of approximately two acres. It has a large tarmacadamed section with a two basketball courts, small soccer pitch and another section with markings for games such as hopscotch. There is an extensive green area with a developed football field and an expanse which is divided up into playing allotments for the various groups.
